Knucklerot where is he
Comment by Knucklerot spawns at "The Howling Ziggurat" aprox. He then turns around and backtracks along this path. As of this writing once he is killed he respawns quite quickly. Hybrid classes Paladin, Shaman, Druid should be able to solo him lvl Other classes will want to have a healer handy. Abilities noticed during the fight were a stun at which point he turns and attacks the second person on the agro list.
Comment by Possible to solo as a level 15 hunter, just done it Kite him from the path between the ziggurats to the top of the inn of Tranquillen, use concosive shot at all cooldowns, and keep serpent sting up, if you got a spare shot-jump left, do an arcane shot in between, the guards should finish him off when he reaches you on the top of the inn, if they dont, jump off if you got the hp for it, else, try again. Comment by Possible to solo as level 70 shaman, just done it PS put lightning shield off else it dies before you hit him PSS i was a bit twinked, don't shoot me.
Comment by Samitch The points on the map are reported as where he was killed. While patrolling he only follows roads, back and forth. Comment by Kastaje Hunters can as usual kite this elite into the guards and let them finish him off. Comment by he is not so difficult i solod him at level 21 holy paladin :. Comment by Razzle Soloed as a 19 hunter just kited him around and let the pet tank. Comment by Soloed him as a lvl 15 lock. Comment by As a word of advice, always watch your back around Goldenmist Village But everytime I'm there he sneaks up behind me as i start a fight and then destroys me.
Comment by Thottbot The spawnlocation is 41,47 just outside Howling Ziggurat. Respawn timer seems to be 5 minutes. Comment by Thottbot Confirming the spawn location. Comment by Thottbot He likes to walk into Goldenmist Village a lot. You should run into him. Comment by Thottbot I wandered all around looking for this guy -- finally found him at 31,54 on the road, headed towards the scar. So there is definitely something wrong. Hysteriac 0 Posted May 19, Posted May 19, Please help? Low level food buffs on both was all. Hunter:I used scorpid pet. Pet died but I finished up without getting hit. Paladin:I just stood my ground and whaled on them. Got one knockback, landed near a Spindleweb but managed to get away before aggro.
Easiest Elites I've ever seen. Comment by Hmm. Luzran was to easy. Did it with a lvl 23 lock and a bugged imp. I couldn't find Knucklerot till I read some peoples posts.
I'll have to get the quests again and yer, Knucklerot should be fun if i can find him. Comment by BlakMajik Their respawn timers are far longer than 3 minutes. I killed him in a group, then left the group without picking up the head, and I couldn't pick up the head. So I had to kill him again. So now I'm waiting outside the Howling Zig, and it's been around 10 minutes and he hasn't respawned.
Comment by Just 2 manned this as a 16 hunter with bear pet and 16 holy pally. Was a challenge, but a fun one. Luzran we found on the south road off the side of the dead scar, and knucklerot up top.
Luzran used his knockback ability a lot, which worked in my favour, almost like a disengage. Knuclerot just spat at me a few times. EDIT: also, we didn't kite him to the guards, i wouldn't feel like it was me doing it if i had. We didn't get any adds though thankfully, just stayed on the road. Hope this guide works, and keep in mind i almost died so like i said this is only a possibility.
Comment by corvis9 Just soloed with a lvl 21 pally. Luzran was definitely harder to kill, had to heal myself twice, once for each knockback while he was running to get into melee range only had a lesser healing potion, but it saved my bacon. After I killed him I simultaniously killed and was killed by one of the two risen stalkers that aggroed when the second knockback put me off the path in the dead scar.
Knucklerot was a piece of cake by comparison, likes to spam a disease and a poison effect though, bad news for those without purify. Comment by Sneetch I solo'd this on my 19 pally, I wouldn't say it was very difficult, but they weren't really hitting me for much.
Luzran does that knockback, so I just stood with a tree to my back, and went OOM when he had hp left. Knucklerot hits you with poison, I just used purify so that wasn't a problem though. I also was using Stinging Viper, and the proc was up a lot of the time. Comment by Pretty easy to solo on a lvl 20 demonology lock. Send in Voidwalker, dot em up, health funnel as needed, rinse and repeat.
If you run low on health throw in a Drain Life as needed. Comment by Elsewhere I would just like to say as a priest at lvl 20 i was able to Solo both Knucklerot and Luzran. Step 2: After Mind Flay stopped channeling, immideatly cast Shackle Undead and run away to max casting range.
Step 3: Repeat Step 1 and 2. Step 4:? Step 5: Profit. Comment by mdagis Both of them were easy soloable with a level 10 hunter as long as you keep being on the road.
My pet died quite fast but it was a nice way to unleash some good DPS before I started kiting. Note that Luzran is much easier because if he reach you he will knockback and you will regain range very easy. Doing a 21 level group quest with a 10 level player is EPIC.
And one more thing DON'T melee them! Comment by spoonness Soloed by a level 19 Affliction lock. Luzran was a little tougher, did the same rotation but without any shadow bolts. The problem in this fight was that he knocked my voidy back and grabbed an add which made it impossible to keep the voidwalker alive. Then I also managed to grab aggro off the add and dotted it up before sending the voidy afterwards.
Unfortunately then I got aggro on Luzran who came chasing after me and my voidy just couldn't get it back so I used Sacrifice. Then my voidy grabbed aggro and got instagibbed he had 76 hp left after Sacrifice. Then I just dotted and life-drained to death and dotted the add afterwards. Comment by Peasant I completed this quest with my level 22 Hunter and his level 22 pet.
It isn't too hard. To find Luzran just follow the Dead Scar. You eventually run into him. You have to take some time to find Knucklerot. Comment by soloed by a 21 elemental shaman. I kept water sheild up at all times so i didn't go oom, and spammed lesser healing wave to keep me alive while I kept flameshock up at all times and used fire nova whenever it came off cooldown. I threw in a lightning bolt whenever I could aswell. With luzran he used his knockback but luckily I didn't aggro any mobs.
Comment by Soloed it with my level 15 prot paladin, pretty easy. EDIT: Also Hammer of Justice works on both of them so it can be used times depending on how long you take to kill them. Comment by Teepee I really easily soloed knucklerot on my hunter lvl I just kept using Concussive Shot when it was available; no possible way he could get me.
When i wasn't using that i would use Arcane Shot until i ran out of focus and quickly used Concussive Shot, then used Steady shot, and used Concussive Shot and ran away to the farthest possible range to shoot, and used all my good ranged abilities shown above. Someone else might want to use Aimed Shot, if they got the Marksmanship talent tree, but i didnt think it was a good idea. If someone uses that, they should make sure that they are in a very far range, because Knucklerot runs very fast, and Aimed Shot takes 2.
Basically, hunters should stay in shooting range while fighting Knucklerot, and let their pet use melee. Tenacity is also a good kind of pet if you dont have good weapons, or dont have a good bow. If you find luzran going in to the dead scar, dont hit him. Same with knucklerot. I would have killed luzran if only i didnt shoot him in the dead scar.
I got attacked by a "Risen Hungerer," and a "Deathcage Sorcerer". The deathcage sorcerer used spells on me, turning out to be dealing over 50 dmg, while i had only about hp. Thats when i got scared. I ran away, the idiots of the undead chasing me. I had only 2 hp by the time i got away. Comment by zids Just soloed this quest, lvl 20 arcane mage. Frostbolt to keep them away and just cast every instant I had available. Pretty easy on BoA gear.
Comment by Just solo'ed it with a lvl 19 disc priest! Comment by Drezor I managed to kill Luzran alone, as a lvl 11 hunter. The key is to kite him with your Concussive Shot, and keep the daze up. Keeping up a Serpent Sting, while frequently using Arcane Shot and sometimes Steady Shot, when he is far away, is also a good tip. Of course, have your pet up to do some additional damage.
Also, when you find him, he'll probably be surrounded by a couple of lvl Undead mobs, it's useful to kill them before engaging boss, to not pull any during fight. I pulled one of them, but that luckily was a lvl 12 which my pet quickly took care of, but do not pull any high lvl ads. I'm now looking for Knucklerot, and will try to solo him too. I'll let you know if he's easy soloable too. The most important things is to clear the area before engaging him, and keep up you slow. Comment by vesoha Soloed both with a level 10 paladin, yes had heirlooms was ret spec and did not use a shield, just make sure you heal in time and after 3x stacks of sunder armor use his knockback to kite a bit til it runs out, and overall use the knockback to heal so dont stand with back to anything, clear a area between 2 zigg's is best.
Problem is to hit somebody with level 21 when your level 10, i went with tank cloak that gives hit and tank helmet that gives expertise, its 2 expertise rating gives 22 expertise at that level.
Was a call between extra 4. But would be impossible for melee at level 10 without heirlooms. Comment by Did this with a level 17 Por Pally used holylight, Avenger shield, Holylight, Judgement hammer I believe, and holylight. Just kept doing this took about five minutes or so with Luzran and killed him about 6 times got about exp each time.
Beat Knucklerot the same way but was level 18 I used regular gear a little green gear I think and plenty of armor. Don't forget the Aura deal and to make sure you have the other one I forgot but it let's you use Judgement hammer. Soloed them both. Well, hope this helps someone.
