I just purchased the Logitech MX Master as well, to replace my acient and well used MX Performance which started to get a bit of problems after many years of service. I love the MX Master, but I was really shocked to see the mouse acceleration option be completly gone. I understand Logitech removed it and is trying some "DPI-acceleration" instead, which is not accurate at all.

On my x screen, the acceleration is essential, in order to be more precise when moving slowly to click on small icons and buttons, and be fast when I move quicker across the whole screen. I like as less mouse travel as possible, and the perfect option to solve that in SetPoint was mouse acceleration. You guys [logitech] made a new nice looking software for the mouse, but you really missed out the essentials people loved with your mouse. I contacted support in hope to get a better answer of maybe some other way to set acceleration, but I only got a simple answer that DPI is now the thing, and I can increase the DPI by increasing mouse speed.

My mouse speed is MAX, and it's still not good enough, the speed is OK, but my precision is completly lost for smaller elements, as a graphical designer this is a big disadvantage. I had to override the pointer speed via Windows because your software is not doing this correctly. We expect more from a high end mouse like this. And please update us on this case, don't say it's forwarded and then we don't even know if the feature is coming or not. I wrote an AHK script that turns on pointer acceleration and keeps it on so Logitech Options can't change it back.

Here it is for anyone curious. This is far from a solution but it works for my purposes. From your involvement in this issue it would appear not. We need an official response here why is "pointer acceleration" missing from "logitech options", and how can you release so called "state of the art" mouse "mx master" which is missing such a basic and fundamental feature such as "pointer acceleration".

If Logitech will never add "pointer acceleration" to "logitech options" then Logitech needs to state it clearly on the box of "mx master" for example "MX Master is missing pointer acceleration setting and we, Logitech have no plans to implement pointer acceleration for MX Master, regardless of what our users need or want".

Regarding the scripting workaround - thanks for the effort, but there are well paid engineers and product managers in Logitech who are not doing their job. Your script might work for some people but a lot of people have paid premium price for a so called premium mouse "MX Master" which is missing a fundamental feature "pointer acceleration" and those people often don't have the expertise to run scripts.
